Skiffy Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026

Skiffy is a Eurorack case designer for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, made by Gavin Vickery. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. This page explains what the app does with your data.

Data Skiffy does not collect

Skiffy does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. I have no server that receives your data and no way to see what you build in the app.

Your racks, collection, and custom modules

Everything you create in Skiffy is stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on for the app, it is also stored in your private iCloud database under your Apple Account so it syncs between your devices. That data is protected by Apple's iCloud terms and is not accessible to me. Turning off iCloud for Skiffy in your device settings keeps everything on the device only.

The module catalog

The catalog of modules and faceplate images is downloaded from a content delivery network and cached on your device. Like any web request, those downloads include your device's IP address. The CDN provider may keep standard server logs for a short time for operational purposes. Skiffy sends nothing else, and I do not use those logs to identify anyone.

Camera and photos

Skiffy asks for camera access only when you choose to photograph a faceplate for a custom module. The photo is stored with your other app data and is never uploaded anywhere other than your own iCloud, if enabled.

Children

Skiffy is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
